a 501(c)3 Charity MISSION The aim of the foundation is to help children and young adults who have suffered spinal injuries gain mobility with financial help and grants for the purchase of mobility equipment. History In April of 2009, Marlene Frangione was rendered paralyzed by a medical procedure that was considered routine. The procedure went terribly wrong and paralysis was the result. Over the past year, it has become apparent that the cost of care and supplies to care for someone with a spinal cord injury and/or paralysis can be overwhelming. There are many people in our society that, through no fault of their own have suffered paralysis and are not financially able to provide the necessary mobility equipment for good care. We have established the Foundation to help children and young adults obtain mobility equipment so they are better able to continue with as normal a life a possible. Grants and financial assistance is rendered to those that show they are in financial need of help to obtain necessary equipment; mobile wheelchairs or power wheel chairs.
